Rebekah Del Rio site goes live!

As some of you may know, since August I have been working on a website for the singer Rebekah Del Rio. Rebekah played herself in the 2001 David Lynch movie Mulholland Drive. She didn't even have a record produced yet, but David recognized that she was an amazing singer and gave her the part for the movie almost immediately. Rebekah is the woman who sing in Club Silencio near the end of the movie.

I met Rebekah while I was out in Washington state at the Twin Peaks Festival (she's the one on the far left of the above photos). On the last day of the fest, apparently Rebekah was talking with a fest attendee, Rob, about how her website needed an overhaul. Rob knew that I was a web designer and developer so he told her she should ask me to help out. Next thing I know she approaches me. Rebekah had just spent a lot of time and money getting her first album produced, so she didn't have any money to offer me. After seeing her current site, I knew it needed some help so I gladly took on the task.

The great thing was that the site already had most of the content it needed. All that I needed to do was tweak the site architecture a bit and give the whole site a face lift so that it reflected a higher level of professionalism and quality. Three months later and the site is all done, and hopefully it helps Rebekah sell more albums and get some more gigs.
