I was just on the Travel Channel

Date published: March 30, 2003

That's right folks, you heard me right, I was just on the Travel Channel. Of course I wasn't in the foreground tho, but I think it's cool none-the-less. And who better to be in the foreground than the always amazing Kimmy Robertson. Below is the shot with me in it...I'm the person on the far left at the top of the photo.

Screen capture from TV Road Trip

The show was called TV Road Trip. In it, they go around the globe to filming locations of past and present TV shows. In this episode, The Sopranos, Homicide, Crime Story, The Streets of San Francisco, and Twin Peaks were the highlighted shows. When I was at the Twin Peaks Festival this past August, they were filming. All the filming they did at the fest was boiled down to about a 10 minute segment (and basically only the one scene I'm in was from the fest, which they never even mentioned on the show). Kimmy Robertson played the Sheriff's Department secretary on Twin Peaks. The other two actors from Twin Peaks on the show were Russ Tamblyn (Dr. Jacoby) and Catherine Coulson (The Log Lady).

The show I was in, hosted by Christopher Knight (Peter from The Brady Bunch), aired Sunday, March 30 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on the Travel Channel. The Twin Peaks section was at the end of the episode (which also included locations from the Sopranos, Saturday Night Live, Homicide, and Crime Story).

Here's a picture I took while they were filming Kimmy getting her cherry pie with ice cream. It's basically the exact opposite angle of what was on the Travel channel.
