Coinstar Coin Counting Machine

The wonderous Coinstar coin counting machine

Today I went in to the local grocery store, Wegman's, and used their coin counting machine. I had this quart-sized jug of all this change that was building up. I'd never used a machine like this before, but I was aware that it took about 8% of the money just for the convenience. Let me tell you, it really was a convenience. If I were to roll up all that change it would have taken hours, but with this machine it took only minutes. The quart-sized jug held almost exactly $100! So I got back about $91.

Overall, it was definitely a pleasant experience, and I would totally recommended it to anyone with jars of change laying around especially if you're doing some spring cleaning (today is the first day of Spring after all). One thing that I was surprised by was the noise that this machine makes while it counts the change. It was so loud that literally everyone in all the checkout liens knew that I was using it.
