Ack, my glasses broke!

When I woke up this morning, I grabbed my glasses from the computer chair and went to put them on. That's when I noticed that they were severely bent. I went to straighten them back out again, and they snapped in two like a piece of angel hair pasta (my favorite, FYI). I've had these same frames for 9 years. (I got them in the summer of 1996, between my freshman and sophomore years of college.)

I was trying to figure out how they got bent and it must have been when I sat in my chair at some point during the night. See, I got home from work yesterday and just crashed. I went right to sleep and didn't wake up until 9 this morning. Of course I did wake up once or twice during the night...and I guess I must have sat in my computer chair not remembering that my glasses were there. Right now I'm wearing my old, old contacts. I think I'll have to head to the mall and get an updated pair of contacts.

As I said before, I've had my glasses for 9 years. I'd only changed the prescription in them once, about 4 years ago. They had a good run. I still might try to fix them though. They're sort of my trademark... people have a harder time recognizing me when I'm not wear them.
